Why Play Marvel Hero Rush? 5 Reasons to Pick It Up

We get asked about Marvel Hero Rush a lot, especially from people who've never played a card game before. So here's why we think it's worth sitting down for a game. 1. If you grew up on Marvel Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, and now Spider-Man, Venom and Knull from the Era of Spiders set. If you grew up on Marvel, you probably don't need much more convincing than that. 2. No mana, and no endless turns There's no mana, so you're never stuck waiting on the right draw. Lv 1 to 3 characters are free to play, and you summon the big Lv 4 to 6 guys by retreating your own characters to pay for them. But you can only summon 3 a turn, so nobody gets to combo for 20 minutes while you watch. Turns stay quick, and your opponent always gets a shot to hit back. 3. Build your own Marvel team The best part for me is putting together my own team. You can run two colors in one deck, so if you want Captain America and Venom fighting side by side, go for it. A lot of the characters also work better with their friends, like Spider-Man bringing in other Web heroes or Cap backing up the other Avengers. Your deck ends up being your own little Marvel crossover. 4. Everyone's starting fresh It only came out this year, so there's no huge card pool to catch up on and nobody has a big head start. Everyone's learning it at the same time, and you get to help figure out the meta at your local store. That doesn't happen often. 5. The cards look great The alt arts and the rare pulls are really nice, so even if you're more of a collector, it's a fun one to open. How to start Grab one of the four starter decks in a color you like. Each one comes with a full deck, a Rush Deck and a playmat, so you can play right out of the box.
