Why Play CookieRun: Braverse? 6 Reasons to Pick It Up

People ask us this all the time at the store, so here it is in one place. If you've been curious about CookieRun: Braverse but haven't sat down for a game yet, these are the reasons we think you should. 1. You already know half the cast If you've played CookieRun on your phone, you already know most of these guys. Pure Vanilla, Hollyberry, Shadow Milk, Dark Enchantress, they're all in here. And the card art is some of the best in any TCG right now. No contest. Don't let the cute Cookies fool you though. A lot of people see them and think it's a kids' game. Then they sit down for one match and get destroyed. It's a real card game. 2. It's easy to learn You've got two Cookies out, you attack your opponent's Cookies, and when their Break Area hits Lv 10, you win. That's pretty much it. Most people we teach get it by their second game, and a match only takes 20 to 30 minutes, so you can squeeze in a few after work. 3. Getting hit isn't all bad This is the thing that got me hooked. Your Cookie's HP is a stack of cards from your own deck. When you get hit, you flip those cards over, and if one of them is a FLIP card, its effect goes off for free. So you're getting stuff even on your opponent's turn. Every hit is a bit of a gamble for both players, and it keeps games close until the end. 4. Every color plays differently Red just wants to hit you hard and fast. Yellow keeps bringing Cookies back from the Break Area. Green ramps, Blue draws a ton, Purple messes with the Trash, and Black does crazy Special Play stuff with Dark Enchantress. Picking a color is basically picking how you want to win, so whatever kind of player you are, there's one for you. 5. The starter decks are already good You don't need to spend a lot to be competitive. Each starter deck is a full 60-card deck built around one color, and you can bring it to locals straight out of the box and win games with it. Play it for a bit, learn it, then swap in cards one at a time when you feel like upgrading. 6. There's a real scene behind it The game is way bigger than people think. Braverse is played in Korea, Southeast Asia, the US and Canada, and it's launching in Europe and Latin America very soon. New sets keep coming, and it's not going anywhere. What I like most is how involved the devs are. They show up at events, they're always pushing the game, and they listen when players give feedback. You don't see that a lot. There's official organized play through TopDeck.gg too, so there's always a tournament to aim for. How to start Grab a starter deck in whatever color you like and just play it a few times.
